We believe you should know exactly how we make money before you use our service. This page explains it in plain language. The short version: Texas Foundation Guide is always free for homeowners, and we are paid by contractors — not by you.

Who we are

Texas Foundation Guide (the "Site") is operated by Heritage Legacy LLC. We are a referral service that connects Texas homeowners with independent, licensed foundation repair specialists. We are not a foundation repair contractor, and we do not perform inspections or repairs ourselves.

How we are compensated

When you submit a request through our Site, we connect you with one or more independent foundation repair specialists in our network. If you choose to hire a specialist you were connected with, that contractor may pay us a referral fee or lead fee.

This compensation is paid by the contractor, not by you. It does not increase the price you pay for any inspection or repair. You are under no obligation to hire any specialist we connect you with, and your inspection is free regardless of whether you move forward.

This is a "material connection" under the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines, and we disclose it so you can weigh our recommendations with full knowledge of how we are paid.

What "vetted" means — and what it does not

We describe the specialists in our network as "vetted." By that we mean we apply screening criteria such as verifying licensing, insurance, and experience before adding a contractor to our network. We genuinely try to connect you with quality professionals.

However, "vetted" is not a guarantee. We do not supervise, control, or warrant the work of any contractor. We strongly encourage you to do your own due diligence — verify licensing and insurance yourself, read reviews, get multiple quotes, and read any contract carefully before signing. Our guide to choosing a contractor walks you through exactly how.

Our editorial content

The guides and articles on this Site are researched and fact-checked to the best of our ability and are intended to be genuinely useful, accurate, and independent. Our compensation from contractors does not influence the factual content of our guides. That said, our content is for general informational purposes only and is not engineering, legal, or financial advice. Always consult a licensed professional about your specific situation.

No professional relationship

Using this Site and being connected with a specialist does not create a contract between you and Heritage Legacy LLC for any repair work. Any agreement for inspection or repair is strictly between you and the independent contractor.
